The Chromotones are a participatory band in the sense that members will add a vocal here and play an instrument there. Dan Davinroy is the primary songwriter. Steve Koritta provides many of the sensational lead vocals along with guitar, bass, and vocals on "Chlorophyll" and bass on "Scientific Names". Joe Wachtel pounds out all of the drum parts.

The Hemmer girls have added tremendously to this CD. Natalie sings lead vocal on "Alive With Cells". Lindsey sings lead on "Chromosomes" and Sara adds great backup "yeahs" on "Taxonomy".

Joe Camel, a local legend, belts out "Chromosome Twist" like he was the Grand Poobah. Gary Austin, an original Caucasian, backs Joe up with the groovy bass on "Chromosome Twist". Stan Whyte, a later member of Joe Camel and the Caucasians provides his signature guitar lines on "Alive With Cells".

Lastly, George Malich bellows as the bullfrog in the song of the same name.
